Once a humble postman, Noor Ahmed, lovingly known as TELWALE, spent his early life delivering letters on his bicycle as a dedicated government employee. But life had a different path written for him. After a accident left him bedridden for a long time, Ahmed Ji found strength in adversity. During his recovery, he envisioned a new life and laid the foundation of what would later become a global gem empire Fine Green Gems. & Telwalas.
With nothing but his passion and skillful hands, Ahmed Ji began manufacturing colored stones. His dedication soon bore fruit, and the business saw promising results. As the venture gained momentum, he invited his son, Mohammed Umer, to join the family business.
A Tradition Carried Forward
Mohammed Umer brought with him fresh energy and vision. He mastered the art of cutting emeralds and other precious stones, scaling the production and driving local market sales in large volumes. With his entry, Fine Green Gems entered a new phase of growth and success.
The legacy continued with Umer’s eldest son, Mohammed Azhar, who in 2005 took a bold step by establishing the company’s first international setup in Thailand. With the family’s blessings and vision, Azhar expanded their. reach beyond borders.To support Azhar’s global ambitions, Umer’s younger son Danish Ahmed joined the business. Danish specialized in international trade shows and exhibitions, showcasing Fine Green Gems to the world. His efforts connected the company with buyers and gem lovers globally, transforming it into a well- recognized name in the industry.
A Modern Legacy
As the business flourished, the family needed a new generation leader to adapt and scale in the digital age. The youngest son, Mohammed Junaid, was chosen to carry the legacy forward with a modern approach. He completed his schooling followed by becoming a Graduate Gemologist from the prestigious Gübelin Institute & Laboratory.
To polish his skills, Junaid worked in the local market, studying and understanding the nuances of the gems & Jewelry trade. With his academic excellence and practical experience, Junaid returned to join the family business and brought in automation, digital systems, and e-commerce to revolutionize Fine Green Gems & Established Telwalas Global Jewelry Brand.
Under Junaid’s leadership, the company expanded to Hong Kong (now the global headquarters), China, and the USA, achieving a full transformation from “Mines to Market.”
